The Assembly Technician II assembles, wires, and modifies work based on specified guidelines in the manufacture of medium and high voltage, indoor and outdoor assemblies, breaker and auxiliary compartments, breakers, customer service orders, power modules, and any sub-assemblies associated with these. This role involves working to manufacturing information, electrical and mechanical drawings, sketches, written or oral instruction from supervisor or team lead to established procedures. The technician will also fill out various checklists and forms for quality control and reporting, mount and install electrical equipment, and regularly lift and assemble heavy copper parts. Additionally, the position requires reporting inventory shortages, inspecting assemblies, responding to change notices and customer requests, assisting engineering with development work, and training/coaching colleagues.
