About The Position

VPG's engineering expertise aims to make the world safer, smarter, and more productive. The company is seeking a dynamic individual to join their team as a Crating Specialist in Poestenkill, NY. This role involves reading and understanding assembly prints to build various pieces of equipment and their packaging.
Requirements
- High school or GED
- 3-5 years hands on experience
- Knowledge of mechanical assembly drawings
- Ability to work with numerous specialized hand tools
Nice To Haves
- Military experience a plus
Responsibilities
- Responsible for reading and following assembly drawings and work order instructions for all crating and machine packaging.
- Responsible for reading and following assembly drawings and work order instructions for all assembly work.
- Work with the Service Engineering department to commission and troubleshoot machine issues.
- Work with the Engineering department and Production team to improve designs and manufacturability of all parts.
- Be able to build shipping crates safely and efficiently.
- Be able to read / write English proficiently.
