About The Position

SAIC is seeking an experienced Assembly Supervisor to lead and manage our assembly operations in North Charleston, SC. This dynamic individual will oversee production processes to ensure operations are efficient, meet quality standards, and are completed on time. A strong leader with expertise in manufacturing, technical drawing interpretation, and process improvement will thrive in this critical position.

Requirements

Ability to utilize and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and procedures
Ability to monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other quality assurance practices
Ability to implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives
Ability to ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and company policies
Ability to utilize production planning and scheduling tools
Ability to identify and resolve complex production challenges
Ability to develop and foster strong relationships with team members, customers, suppliers, and contractors

Responsibilities

Assist with kitting, production, assembly, and pack out processes, ensuring efficiency, high-quality output, safety compliance, and timely delivery of products.
Manage the daily activities and personnel of the daily production (kitting and pack out) function, which may include electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical, or measurement product assembly on components, assemblies, or sub-assemblies.
Oversee production schedules and allocate necessary resources to efficiently achieve project deliverables.
Utilize and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and procedures to guide assembly activities and maintain operational accuracy.
Monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process controls or other quality assurance practices.
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist in the development and execution of team goals, staffing plans, and training strategies.
Ensure compliance with industry-specific regulations, safety standards, and company policies throughout all phases of production.
Utilize production planning and scheduling tools to ensure resources are distributed effectively and product timelines are met.
Identify and resolve complex production challenges, providing sound, innovative solutions that align with organizational goals.
Develop and foster strong relationships with team members, customers, suppliers, and contractors to drive successful operations.
