About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Assembly Set-Up Press Operator to set up, operate, and troubleshoot punch presses and assembly equipment in a manufacturing environment. The role involves hands-on punch press die setups, single-hit dies, and assembly machinery. It requires mechanical troubleshooting skills, the ability to read blueprints, and a strong commitment to workplace safety and production quality. The position is on 1st shift, Monday through Thursday from 5:30 AM to 3:00 PM and Friday from 5:30 AM to 9:30 AM, with a 30-minute lunch and two paid 10-minute breaks. Pay is $17.95–$22.00 per hour, based on experience.

Requirements

Previous experience setting up and operating punch presses.
Experience with single-hit dies and assembly equipment.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform minor equipment repairs.
Ability to read blueprints and use precision measuring instruments.
Knowledge of manufacturing safety procedures and equipment.
Ability to lift, move, and position medium-sized dies.
Ability to read and understand production work orders.
Must have basic personal hand tools for machine setup and adjustments.

Responsibilities

Set up and operate punch presses using single-hit dies.
Troubleshoot punch press setups and dies and perform minor repairs as needed.
Set up, operate, and troubleshoot assembly equipment, including riveters, clinchers, and tappers.
Read and interpret blueprints, production work orders, and measurements.
Use depth micrometers, micrometers, scales, and vernier calipers.
Install, remove, and align medium-sized dies on press bolster plates.
Perform Statistical Process Control (SPC) using attribute charts.
Update and maintain production work orders.
Safely operate hand and motorized material-handling equipment.
Maintain a safe work environment and follow all required safety procedures.
Operate presses efficiently while maintaining production quality standards.
