About The Position

Nordex is hiring an Electrical Production Technician to assemble and install electrical systems used in wind turbines. The role involves hands-on production work in renewable energy manufacturing, with a focus on safe, high-quality workmanship and meeting production goals. The position is on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. A $1,500 signing bonus is offered. Nordex welcomes applicants with electrical assembly experience, technical or military backgrounds, or strong mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn. Ability to read and follow work instructions.
Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to lift, position, and handle materials safely.
Ability to work at heights when required.
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
Ability to pass a respiratory fit test when required.
Willingness to obtain company-provided certifications and specialized training.

Nice To Haves

Experience in electrical assembly, manufacturing, maintenance, automotive, military, technical trades, or related fields.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics or wiring diagrams.
Familiarity with hand tools, multimeters, crimping tools, or diagnostic equipment.
Experience working in a team-oriented production environment.
Crane experience.
Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn; entry-level candidates are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

Install electrical assemblies within wind turbine components.
Route and secure wiring harnesses, connectors, and control systems.
Use testing equipment to verify electrical functionality and quality.
Troubleshoot electrical connection issues alongside engineering and quality teams.
Follow safety and quality standards.
Meet production goals while maintaining high workmanship standards.
Support continuous improvement initiatives.
Assist other production areas when needed.
