About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security offers a full-time, company-sponsored, on-the-job apprenticeship program in St. Louis to develop the skills needed for work in a manufacturing environment. The apprenticeship has four pathways: Structural, Electrical, Mechanical, and Composites. The Composites cohort lasts 12 weeks and combines formal learning, hands-on work experience, and mentorship. Successful completion demonstrates the knowledge and ability to perform as a Composites Assembly Mechanic. Graduates of registered apprenticeships receive a nationally recognized Department of Labor credential. At the end of the program, successful candidates may have the opportunity to convert to a union-represented Assembly Mechanic position, with further program-specific training and on-the-job learning. The program is located at the St. Louis Community College – Florissant Valley campus. Class start dates vary by pathway and course schedule; classes may be held on first or second shift, and selected candidates will be notified of their shift before the course begins.
