About The Position

As our Roxboro operation continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Assembly Manager who can lead through other leaders, strengthen team performance, and create a culture where accountability and employee development go hand in hand. This role is responsible for leading Assembly Supervisors, Area Leaders, and production teams while driving safety, quality, productivity, delivery, and continuous improvement. As an Assembly Manager, you will provide direction and support across one or more assembly departments or shifts. You will help Supervisors and Area Leaders become stronger leaders, remove obstacles that affect team performance, and make sure employees have the tools, training, and support needed to succeed. You will balance daily operational needs with long-term planning, leadership development, staffing, employee engagement, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • Experience leading Supervisors, Team Leads, Area Leaders, or multiple production teams
  • A strong understanding of safety, quality, productivity, delivery, labor, and continuous improvement
  • Experience reviewing operational metrics and creating action plans based on results
  • Strong coaching, communication, and employee development skills
  • Experience partnering with Human Resources and other support departments
  • The ability to lead through change and communicate expectations clearly
  • Strong decision-making, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills
  • The ability to remain calm, professional, and solutions-focused in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to support production needs beyond scheduled shift hours

Responsibilities

  • Lead Assembly Supervisors, Area Leaders, and production teams toward safety, quality, delivery, and productivity goals
  • Coach and develop frontline leaders through regular feedback, follow-up, and leadership development
  • Build a strong pipeline of future Supervisors, Area Leaders, Trainers, and Team Leads
  • Review operational performance and use data to identify risks, trends, and improvement opportunities
  • Create action plans when safety, quality, staffing, attendance, or production results are not meeting expectations
  • Promote consistent leadership practices across departments and shifts
  • Partner with Human Resources on staffing, employee relations, performance management, attendance, and leadership development
  • Work closely with Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, and other departments to remove barriers and improve performance
  • Support workforce planning, labor needs, scheduling, and overtime requirements
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that strengthen safety, quality, efficiency, and employee engagement
  • Ensure company policies, procedures, safety expectations, and operating standards are followed consistently
  • Build a culture where employees feel valued, supported, and accountable for their work
