About The Position

CompX National is hiring an Assembly Machine Operator for its second shift. The role operates and cross-trains on production and assembly machines, performs lock assembly and quality testing, maintains a clean and organized work area, follows company safety standards, and follows applicable quality system requirements and documentation procedures. Light lifting is required.

The schedule is Monday through Friday, 3:30 p.m. to midnight. Pay is $17.23–$21.43 per hour, depending on experience, with a $1.50-per-hour shift premium.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment is preferred.

• At least 1–2 years of experience in a manufacturing production environment.

Responsibilities

• Operate various production machines and other special equipment in the department.
• Cross-train to operate various assembly machines in the assigned work area.
• Perform a variety of lock assembly operations.
• Perform quality testing, including checking lock rotation, key insertion, correct tumbler, and key exit.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Follow all company safety standards.
• Understand and practice quality system requirements and documentation, including applicable inspection, verification, and disposition procedures, instructions, and forms.
• Use good finger and hand dexterity; perform light lifting.
