About The Position

Taylor Machine Works, Inc., a subsidiary of the Taylor Group of Companies, is hiring an Assembly Level 3 employee for its Louisville, Mississippi location. The company designs, engineers, and manufactures industrial lift equipment. The role is part of the Assembly Group and involves assembling complete products and major assemblies, including wiring and operator bases, new engine-transmission assemblies, and battery cable assemblies. The employee works within an assembly group and is responsible for their own work while coordinating with other group members to maintain production. The role may include work at a range of skill levels, such as operating equipment and hand tools, making hoses and battery cables, installing glass, making electrical connections, assembling cabs and products, and performing plantwide electrical work. The employee may provide instruction or training when qualified, maintain a clean and orderly work area, and perform other assigned duties. The position receives supervision from a Foreman and has no supervisory direction.

Requirements

Pass the TMW-AWS D14.3 Tack Welder Qualification Test.
Pass the TMW Basic Wiring Test.

Responsibilities

Assemble complete products and major assemblies, including wiring and operator bases, new engine-transmission assemblies, and battery cable assemblies.
Operate equipment and tools such as drill presses, sanders, saws, ordinary hand tools, hose-making equipment, and battery cable-making equipment.
Perform glass installation, electrical connections, cab assembly, plantwide electrical work, and product assembly as assigned.
Coordinate with other members of the Assembly Group to maintain production while taking responsibility for own work.
Provide instruction and/or training when qualified.
Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
Perform other duties as assigned.
