About The Position

VAL-CO, a leader in commercial poultry, egg, and swine production equipment specializing in poultry watering and feeding systems, is hiring full-time Assembly Fans for its Coldwater, Ohio facility. The role performs fabrication and assembly operations for designated fan models in the fan line and Hemi fan work centers, following company methods and safety, quality, and quantity standards. Starting wage depends on experience, with pay offered up to $27.18 per hour. Benefits eligibility begins after 90 days, and the position offers a quarterly incentive bonus. Employees must complete required paperwork, verify parts quality and counts for cartoning jobs, set up assigned jobs, move parts and loads as needed, and maintain a neat and orderly work area. Conduct must reflect good character and VAL-CO's published core values. The role requires sustained standing and repetitive movements during an eight-hour shift, lifting and carrying loads up to 40 pounds, and assembling parts using appropriate hand tools and measuring devices.

Requirements

Able to read, perform basic math, and complete required paperwork properly.
Able to accurately count parts and follow job procedures.
Good dexterity to perform assembly operations.
Quality- and safety-conscious.
Valid forklift license.
Able to turn laterally 90 degrees to the right and left up to 200 times per hour during an eight-hour shift.
Able to lift up to 40 pounds to shoulder height.
Able to stand for an eight-hour shift.
Able to carry up to 40 pounds up to six feet, up to 100 times per hour during an eight-hour shift.
Able to legibly complete necessary paperwork.
Able to align and assemble parts using a bolt, lockwasher, and nut.

Responsibilities

Perform fabrication and assembly operations for designated fan models in the fan line and Hemi fan work centers.
Perform fabricating operations according to company methods and safety, quality, and quantity standards.
Complete all required paperwork properly.
Ensure parts meet quality standards and counts are accurate on cartoning jobs.
Set up assigned jobs as required.
Move parts or loads into and out of the workstation as required.
Keep the work area neat and orderly.
Align two parts and assemble them with a bolt, lockwasher, and nut to meet quality and quantity standards.
Use appropriate hand tools, writing utensils, and measuring devices to meet quality, safety, and quantity standards.
Conduct oneself consistently with good character and VAL-CO's published core values.
