About The Position

The Assembly Electrician will be responsible for wiring, assembling, and testing machinery such as conveyors and rotating assemblies according to specifications and shop orders. This role involves ensuring the quality of parts, welding stainless steel, and following outlined job operations. The position requires a willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled environment, report discrepancies, and cross-train as needed to meet production demands. The employee will also be responsible for driving a forklift, operating an overhead crane, and assisting with plant housekeeping and training new personnel. Additionally, the role requires working around chemicals and interfacing with manufacturing personnel. A period of on-the-job training will be provided.

Requirements

• Experience with rotating equipment.

• Must be willing to work in an on-the-job training status for the first few weeks of employment.

Responsibilities

• Wire, assemble and test machinery such as conveyors, rotating assemblies, etc. according to specifications and shop orders.
• Check quality of parts to ensure accuracy of dimensions and quantity.
• Weld Stainless Steel.
• Follow job operations as outlined on the work order.
• Report dimensional discrepancies to Supervisor as they occur.
• Cross-train into other areas as required to meet production schedules and/or manufacturing needs.
• Drive a forklift and operate an overhead crane.
• Assist in plant housekeeping.
• Work around the chemicals in the assigned department.
• Interface with manufacturing personnel.
• Assist in the training of new personnel.
• All other duties as assigned.
• Follow all safety and environmental policies and programs.
• Use personal safety devices as required by company policy.
• Report any activities that could be detrimental to safety and/or the loss of productivity.
• Report any injuries when they occur.
