Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Robotics and Automation, Controls Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of Siemens PLC programming
  • Previous experience with troubleshooting, implementing, and launching projects
  • Experience reading electrical prints, ladder logic, and schematics (required)
  • Hands-on floor experience with manufacturing equipment is required
  • Ability to communicate with customers both internal and external
  • Strong problem solving skills and team focused
  • Ability to work on productivity improvements (how can we improve a program) in order to reduce production cycle times while maintaining machine capabilities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Yaskawa Motoman robotic programming and Keyence camera systems is highly desired

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and re-engineer current assembly equipment programs during shift hours
  • Program assembly equipment to include 6 axis robots, PLCs, cameras, scanners, automation, AI
  • Production equipment downtime reduction through quick reaction program interventions
  • Responsible for assembly line process evaluation and cycle time improvement
  • Design, engineer, and procure assembly equipment for future programs
  • Writing and implementing work instructions, PFMEA, and all process documentation
