About The Position

This role involves producing a quality product that meets specifications and maintaining sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers. The contractor will interpret data from Analytical/Diagnostics equipment to make sound decisions, follow written procedures, and complete assigned work in a timely manner to keep the production schedule while maintaining acceptable yields. The position requires utilizing a variety of hand tools and following written process procedures for intensifier image tube processing. The contractor will monitor data from various meters and sensing devices that measure vacuum, temperature, and torque, and maintain accurate record entry through the use of the onsite Quality Tracking System (QTS). Additionally, the role involves defining complex equipment issues and quality levels while informing engineering of any process, component, etc., that deviates from normal processing, and adhering to best vacuum and clean room practices. Other duties as required.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to wear clean room attire and work in a clean room.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office).
  • Ability to become familiar with SPC (Statistical Process Control).
  • Ability to work alone and with others in a team environment.
  • Ability to multi-task while monitoring multiple exhaust stations.
  • United States Citizenship required.
  • Security Clearance required.
  • HS Diploma/GED and 3+ years' experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience with ultra-high vacuum technology and/or semiconductor processing desired.
  • Familiarity with Six Sigma problem solving tools, 5S+1, and Lean methodologies.
  • Mechanical background (airplane; shop; engines; etc.).
  • Teamwork oriented; able to meld quickly to the team.
  • Ability to work with little or no supervision if required.
  • Ability to make quality decisions quickly.
  • 2 year degree with 1-2 years' experience preferred.
