About The Position

Michigan Automotive Compressor, Inc. (MACI), a joint venture between Toyota Industries Corporation and DENSO, manufactures automotive air conditioning compressors and magnetic clutches. The Assembly Associate performs small-parts assembly for automotive compressor production. Experience is preferred but not required; MACI provides training to candidates who are willing to learn and have a positive attitude. The work requires the ability to obtain a Powered Industrial Vehicle (PIV) license.

Assembly core hours are 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with a Monday start. Overtime occurs after the shift. The schedule is full-time, with a minimum of five days per week; weekends are possible. Workdays average 8 to 10.5 hours.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic reading skills and ability to follow directions.
• Basic computer navigation and utilization skills.
• Ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly.
• High attention to detail and self-motivation.
• Pass basic math, reading, and dexterity testing.
• Reliability and punctuality.
• Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Pass a drug screen and background check.
• Regularly lift 35 pounds.
• Regularly perform repetitive tasks.
• Manual dexterity to put parts or pieces together quickly and accurately.
• Good eye-hand coordination.
