About The Position

Sandvik Mining & Rock Solutions has an opening for Assembly 1! Sandvik Mining is the leading global supplier of equipment, tools, service and technical solutions for the mining industry. The Assembly 1 is responsible for the disassembly, cleaning, organizing work in process, ordering material for mechanical components from aftermarket equipment as well as assembly of new/rebuilt parts and equipment. The ability to understand engineered drawings and the ability to follow written and oral direction is critical. Interpretation and appropriate critical thinking skills are required. The candidate must be able to assemble, trouble shoot, test complete machines by following minimal work instructions or engineered specifications.

Requirements

Minimum of 3 years of related experience with industry specific equipment
Has customer relations experience
Technical diploma or certification in a technical field
Ability to work as part of an integrated team
Is self-motivated
Utilizes active listening skill

Nice To Haves

The ability to understand engineered drawings

Assemble, trouble shoot, test complete machines by following minimal work instructions or engineered specifications

Responsibilities

Responsible for the setup, assembly, and operation of machines used in production
Follows established procedures/ hours for the assembly of the production equipment
Install parts to specifications to prepare for production processing
Report/ work with immediate supervisor to resolve issues related to the machinery, processes, and parts.
Inspects machine and finished product against specified tolerances
Works overtime/weekends as required
The ability to train new assembly employees is required
Upholds safety and housekeeping (5S) requirements
Working in a team setting with the ability to convey and receive ideas/suggestions in a positive way
