About The Position

The Assembler uses a variety of hand and power tools and follows work instructions to assemble complete products for sale to customers. The role relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Openings are available for day and swing shifts. The Assembler builds heater and thermocouple assemblies from raw materials according to written specifications and verbal instructions, performs precision work within close tolerances, and tests and inspects parts to ensure they meet product specifications. The role also works with engineering to resolve defects and corrective actions and assists with product documentation and training for new hires.

Requirements

Proficiency with basic assembly tools, including wrenches, screwdrivers, torque tools, calipers, micrometers, wire strippers, crimping tools, and soldering irons.

Responsibilities

Read and understand basic blueprints, bills of materials (BOMs), assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
Interpret part drawings and build parts precisely to specification.
Assemble raw materials into heater and thermocouple assemblies using hand and power tools, following written specifications and verbal instructions.
Weld small wires and metal tubing using a TIG welder under microscopic magnification.
Draw, anneal, cut, and strip mineral-insulated cable heaters and sensors.
Test and inspect parts and mechanisms against tolerance and product specifications using digital multimeters, a Hi-Pot tester, calipers, scales, and other measurement devices.
Perform precision measurements and work within close tolerances.
Follow company written policies and instructions, as well as verbal instructions from supervisors and engineers.
Work with engineering to resolve defects and perform corrective actions.
Assist with documenting products that are not currently documented and with training new hires on related products.
