About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Assembler II at its San Jose, California facility. This role provides mechanical assembly and hand-soldering support in a production environment focused on advanced microwave subsystems, including missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners, and synthesized sources. Assemblers build complex mechanical assemblies and circuit card assemblies, following IPC 610 processes and production documentation while meeting daily output goals.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working as a mechanical or solder assembler in a production environment.
Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers, and experience working under a microscope.
Ability to solder small surface-mount and through-hole parts.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export laws or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to complete online training, use email, and use computerized timekeeping.
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to carefully follow written instructions.

Nice To Haves

IPC 610 certification.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical assembly support for complex microwave subsystems and meet daily output goals established by the lead.
Build circuit card assemblies, manually soldering surface-mount and through-hole components and applying conformal coating after soldering.
Follow production documentation and processes, including maintaining detailed records of rework performed.
Participate in daily production meetings.
