About The Position

Honeywell Aerospace is seeking an Assembler II at its San Jose, California facility. The role supports production of advanced microwave subsystems, including missile front ends, radar receivers, wideband tuners, and synthesized sources. Work focuses on mechanical box builds and hand soldering in accordance with IPC 610, as well as assembly of complex microwave subsystems and circuit card assemblies.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience working as a mechanical or solder assembler in a production environment.
Ability to use small hand tools such as tweezers and torque drivers, and experience working under a microscope.
Ability to solder small surface-mount and through-hole parts.
Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance.
Must be a U.S. person under U.S. export laws, or eligible for approval under a U.S. Government export license.
Basic computer skills, including the ability to complete online training, use email, and use computerized timekeeping.
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to carefully follow written instructions.

Nice To Haves

IPC 610 certification.

Responsibilities

Provide mechanical assembly support for complex microwave subsystems in a production environment and meet daily output goals established by the lead.
Build circuit card assemblies, including manually soldering surface-mount and through-hole components and applying conformal coating after soldering.
Follow production documentation and processes carefully, including keeping detailed records of rework performed.
Participate actively in daily production meetings.
