About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Level Manufacturing Assembler to support our team at Mesa, AZ. Performs routine production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment and accessories using manual operations. Solves routine problems of limited scope and complexity by following established practices and procedures. Has substantial and thorough understanding of the job. This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • Ability to read, understand, engineering drawings and specifications (e.g., blueprint/schematic reading, specification, change, design)
  • Availability to work any shift
  • Must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 + year of experience working with specialized tools (e.g., electrical and mechanical wire crimpers and strippers, wire routing tools, accessing computer files, multi-meters)
  • Understanding of aircraft manufacturing processes and how to build products to established quality and configuration requirements.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical information including engineering drawings, work instructions, wiring diagrams, and test procedures to safely and accurately build the product.
  • Complete knowledge of shop processes to include Foreign Object Damage/Debris (FOD) prevention, material handling, safety, and calibration requirements
  • Demonstrates an interest in personal learning and development. Seeks feedback from multiple sources about how to improve and develop; modifies behavior based on feedback or self-analysis of past mistakes.
  • Take steps to develop and maintain the knowledge, skill, and ability to perform.
