About The Position

Federal Ammunition is seeking Assemblers who will work safely and maintain all quality standards while achieving production levels at or above the posted goal; thereby ensuring customers receive quality products when they want them at a competitive price. This position reports to the Factory Operations Supervisor and is based out of our Anoka Location. The Kinetic Group is a world leader in the design, manufacturing, and distribution of small caliber ammunition under the iconic brands B&P, CCI, Federal Premium, Fiocchi, HEVI-Shot, Remington and Speer. We have domestic ammunition manufacturing facilities in Minnesota, Idaho, Arkansas, and Missouri, and service law enforcement, government agencies and sporting enthusiasts throughout the world. Today, The Kinetic Group is a part of the Ammo+ division of The Czechoslovak Group (CSG), which holds a diverse portfolio of companies in the defense, security, automotive, aerospace and rail industries.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED.
18 years of age or older.
Must have demonstrated strong organizational skills and strong work ethic.
Must be able to work effectively within a team of up to 8 people.
Must be able to work 12 hours on assigned shift.
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Must be able to learn to use computers and/or precision measuring devices within 30 days.
Ability to work independently without continual supervision.
Must be a (i) U.S. citizen or national; (ii) U.S. lawful, permanent resident (a/k/a green card holder); (iii) Refugee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1157; or (iv) Asylee under 8 U.S.C. Section 1158 or be eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.
Must not fall into any of the prohibited categories under the Gun Control Act, including but not limited to: convicted of a crime punishable by imprisonment for a term exceeding one year; fugitive from justice; unlawful user of or addicted to any controlled substance; adjudicated as a mental defective or committed to a mental institution; illegal alien; discharged from the Armed Forces under dishonorable conditions; renounced United States Citizenship; subject to a court order restraining the person from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner or child; or convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.

Nice To Haves

Experience working in a manufacturing environment (high volume preferred.)
Two-year Technical Degree in Manufacturing.

Responsibilities

Operate production machines according to job break down tasks.
Assemble and handle ammunition components and products.
Fill out paperwork.
Package loaded rounds.
Assist team with changeovers.
Follow all safety rules and procedures; keep area neat and orderly; report all existing or potential safety hazards/issues to leadership immediately.
Utilize Safety Observation system.
Understand and follow all environmental/hazardous waste procedures.
Understand all product quality requirements and procedures, insure they are met.
Notify adjuster or leadership of excessive defective levels.
Understand how defects can impact final customers including Law Enforcement and Military.
Achieve or exceed the posted production goals to ensure on-time delivery to internal and external customers.
Be an effective team member.
Contribute your ideas through the Kaizen card process.
Work the hours scheduled for the assigned shift plus overtime as needed.
Follow 5S and clean up protocols.
Perform other duties as assigned.
