About The Position

Produces components and finished products by assembling parts and subassemblies. The role involves preparing for assembly, positioning and fastening parts, verifying completed components against specifications, and addressing assembly problems. It also includes maintaining equipment and a safe, clean work environment, monitoring inventory, conserving resources, documenting production and quality activities, and contributing to the team.

Requirements

2+ years of experience as an assembler.
Technical knowledge and ability to read blueprints and drawings.
Ability to use tools such as clamps and hand tools.
Good understanding of quality control principles.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent hand-eye coordination.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare work by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and part lists, and gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
Assemble components by examining connections for correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
Resolve assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications and notifying a supervisor when additional resources are needed.
Keep equipment operational by completing preventative maintenance requirements, following manufacturer instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
Maintain inventory by checking stock levels and anticipating needed supplies.
Conserve resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
Document actions by completing production and quality forms as needed.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Perform other duties as required.
