About The Position

Assemblers perform tasks necessary to the production process, including fabricating, maintaining, and repairing component parts and products. They assemble doors and must maintain tidy work areas while following detailed instructions to meet safety and quality requirements. The position is in the Production department and reports to the Production Supervisor. It is non-exempt and eligible for overtime.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
Ability to use reason to solve problems as they arise.
Dexterity and hand-eye coordination, including the ability to grasp, manipulate, and assemble parts and components of varying shapes and sizes.
Ability to perform repetitive tasks while sitting or standing for extended periods.
Safety management mindset.
Focus on quality.
Good eyesight, including depth perception, peripheral vision, and the ability to differentiate between colors.
Ability to lift at least 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Previous manufacturing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Produce doors by assembling parts and subassemblies.
Conduct quality control checks.
Use a variety of tools and/or machinery to assemble products.
Interpret technical documents such as diagrams, schematics, blueprints, and verbal or written instructions.
Work with other members of the line or group to assemble products.
Clean and maintain a tidy work area and equipment, including tools.
Meet company and industry safety requirements.
Identify defective items and handle them according to established procedures.
Position parts and subassemblies using templates or by reading measurements.
