About The Position

Assemblers handle light- and average-weight parts using hand and power tools. This role assembles Dry Freight body sides from parts pulled from inventory according to job orders, and installs body components and equipment. Work includes cutting and installing plywood and e-track, fitting roofing material to truck bodies, and using an overhead catwalk. The posting notes that mechanical or electrical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manually pull all parts from inventory based on the job order.
• Assemble parts according to the job order to form Dry Freight body sides.
• Assemble, install, or remove body parts.
• Use a circular saw to cut plywood sheets for installation on unit interior walls.
• Use a band saw to cut e-track for installation on unit interior walls.
• Install plywood and e-track using a screw gun and rivet gun.
• Uncoil roofing material, measure and shear it to size, and install it on top of the truck body.
• Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.
• Use an overhead catwalk.
