Assembler - Semi Skilled: 3rd Shift

About The Position
The Assembler - Semi Skilled handles light- and average-weight parts using hand and power tools. The role assembles Dry Freight body sides from parts pulled from inventory and installs components and equipment on truck bodies. Work includes cutting and installing plywood and e-track, preparing and installing roofing material, and using an overhead catwalk.

- Mechanical or electrical experience is preferred.

Responsibilities
- Manually pull all parts from inventory based on the job order.
- Assemble parts based on the job order to form Dry Freight body sides.
- Assemble, install, or remove body parts.
- Use a circular saw to cut sheets of plywood for installation on the unit’s interior walls.
- Use a band saw to cut e-track for installation on the unit’s interior walls.
- Install plywood and e-track using a screw gun and rivet gun.
- Uncoil roofing material, measure and shear it to size, and install it on top of the truck body.
- Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.
- Use an overhead catwalk.
