About The Position

The Assembler handles light- and average-weight parts using hand and power tools to build Dry Freight body sides. The role includes pulling parts from inventory according to job orders, assembling and installing body components, cutting and installing plywood and e-track, and preparing and installing roofing material. The assembler may also mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment and use an overhead catwalk.

• Mechanical or electrical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manually pull all parts from inventory based on the job order.
• Assemble parts according to the job order to form Dry Freight body sides.
• Assemble, install, or remove body parts.
• Use a circular saw to cut plywood sheets for installation on unit interior walls.
• Use a band saw to cut e-track for installation on unit interior walls.
• Install plywood and e-track using a screw gun and rivet gun.
• Uncoil roofing material, measure and shear it to size, and install it on top of the truck body.
• Mount and connect auxiliary, mechanical, electrical, electronic, pneumatic, or hydraulic equipment.
• Use an overhead catwalk.
