About The Position
Join Allegion’s Steelcraft facility, a major manufacturer of steel frames and doors. Reporting into one of the Frames or Doors value streams, the Assembler performs a variety of manual duties handling materials for manufacturing and service departments. Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, and training and development will be provided. The position is on first shift, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
Requirements
- Ability to see well, including strong depth perception and the ability to distinguish between colors.
- Ability to stand and maintain balance continuously or nearly continuously.
- Ability to frequently lift and carry 25–50 pounds, stoop, twist, and reach overhead and to the side (four or more hours per day).
- Ability to occasionally walk and push and pull heavy carts.
- Ability to climb, kneel, and crouch as required.

Responsibilities
- Perform production work as directed to assist machine operators with setting up and operating machines.
- Handle and transport raw materials, parts, supplies, tools, fixtures, dies, and trucks.
- Work in all departments to load and unload trucks; count, weigh, transport, and pile materials in storage areas.
- Position and handle materials to load and unload conveyors, racks, containers, and other processing equipment.
- Deliver materials and parts to manufacturing departments as directed.
- Clean materials.
- Follow standardized methods of work.
