Assembler
About The Position
The Assembler performs electro-mechanical production assembly according to engineering drawings, product specifications, and quality standards. The role is responsible for the quality of its own work and for meeting company and ISO standards. This position is part of Wabtec’s Production Operations job family. The stated compensation is USD 20–21 weekly; the actual offer may depend on factors such as training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands, and work location. The base pay range may change. Benefits information is available through the company’s benefits website, and an annual bonus may be offered if eligible.
Requirements
- Basic knowledge of reading blueprints and schematics.
- Basic electrical and mechanical skills.
- Basic electro-mechanical troubleshooting experience.
- Proactive attitude and self-motivation.
- Good communication skills.
- Willingness to adapt to change.
Responsibilities
- Assemble parts or units and position, align, and fasten units to assemblies, subassemblies, or frames using hand tools and power tools.
- Position and fasten units to assemblies and subassemblies.
- Fasten cables and wiring.
- Maintain responsibility for the quality of one’s own work and meet company and ISO standards.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
