About The Position

Amsted Automotive Group’s propulsion system in Saginaw is seeking entry-level Assemblers to support the plant’s daily assembly operations. The role includes inspecting production parts and incoming materials, operating assembly machinery, moving and packing products, maintaining inventory-control processes, preparing shipments, ensuring production quality, keeping work areas and equipment clean and safe, and completing daily paperwork.

Requirements

• Must be able to drive a forklift.
• Must be capable of using inspection instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Must be able to use scanning equipment and follow inventory-control procedures.
• Ability to work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Visually inspect production parts.
• Inspect incoming material to ensure outside processing meets quality specifications.
• Load and unload parts into and from machinery and pack parts according to customer specifications.
• Operate various assembly machinery.
• Move product throughout the plant between operations and work with the materials department on inventory-control processes.
• Prepare containers for shipment with appropriate labels and weight tickets.
• Ensure the quality of production parts produced on the assigned line.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean and safe.
• Complete and update all required paperwork daily.
