About The Position

Astronics-PECO is seeking Production Assemblers to join its Aerospace assembly team in Clackamas, Oregon. This is an entry-level position with opportunities to grow and learn. Assemblers build and inspect products using production instructions, hand and power tools, and machinery, while meeting quality and safety standards. The schedule is day shift, 7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Requirements

Comfort working with hand tools.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds during the workday; some roles require lifting less.
Ability to read and interpret directions provided verbally, by diagram, or as a schedule.
Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
Comfort using a computer to enter, access, or retrieve information.
Willingness to submit to pre-employment drug screening and background checks, including cannabis screening.
Employment is contingent on authorization to access any items subject to U.S. export-control laws, if applicable.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or equivalent (not required).
Experience working in small- to medium-part assembly (not required).

Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and production procedures to assemble complete units.
Position, align, and level parts in machine locating tools, or load parts into automatic work positioners.
Fit and secure parts using screws, bolts, clamps, rivets, or solder, with hand tools, portable power tools, or flame solder.
Operate equipment such as drill presses, punch presses, riveting machines, robotic equipment, pressure testers, sanders, and sand blasters.
Calibrate parts to specifications.
Seal joints and seams using adhesives.
Inspect finished products for defects; adjust or rework products by replacing or realigning parts or adjusting units to meet specifications.
Use a computer to track work in MRP.
Work safely by using equipment and materials properly.
Apply workmanship quality standards after completing quality manual standards training.
