About The Position

Allegion is a company dedicated to safety and security, helping to protect people where they live, work, and visit. With a global presence and numerous brands, Allegion specializes in security solutions. The Assembler role is within Stanley Access Technologies, a leader in automatic doors. This position is responsible for assembling components, sub-assemblies, and final products, requiring proficiency with various tools and adherence to quality and safety standards. The company is seeking individuals authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Familiarity with assembly techniques, tools, and equipment.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, pneumatic tools, and testing equipment effectively.
  • Ability to produce parts and products to meet quality standards.
  • Ability to be flexible in role, adjusting to new processes, technologies, or production requirements.
  • Ability to handle parts and tools with precision.
  • Perform repetitive motions (bending, twisting, kneeling, stooping, lifting, gripping, and grasping with hands).
  • Ability to stand for up to 10 hours per shift.
  • Ability to lift up to 75lbs.
  • Ability to work in environments with noise, chemicals, dust, sharp objects, moving/rotating mechanical parts, and temperature extremes.
  • Must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States.
  • Company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble basic components using hand tools and equipment engineered for light assembly.
  • Perform repetitive assembly tasks with precision, such as attaching, labeling, and packaging parts.
  • Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality and functionality standards.
  • Document issues encountered during assembly using tools and standards to verify product quality and functionality.
  • Track and document production metrics, such as completed units or defects.
  • Identify and segregate defective parts for review and document quality issues.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols, use PPE, and report potential hazards.
  • Perform basic equipment checks.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality control to address challenges and improve processes.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing to report issues and provide updates.
  • Maintain a clean, organized workspace and store tools and equipment properly.
  • Follow step-by-step written or verbal instructions.
  • Be flexible by working overtime, cross-training, and adapting to new processes or technologies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
