The Assembler performs precision and intricate hand and machine assembly of finished products using various equipment and methods. This role involves assembling complex components, inspecting connections for correct tolerance and fit, and fastening parts and subassemblies according to customer specifications. The Assembler operates a variety of assembly and packaging equipment, including lathes, mills, sonic welders, hot stampers, heat stakers, and auto baggers. Key responsibilities include reading and interpreting customer prints and specifications, performing both machine and manual assembly, identifying and resolving assembly and packaging issues, and notifying the Floor Lead/Supervisor when necessary. The position also requires inspecting assembled parts for imperfections, potentially including software tests, and completing daily production reports to track completed work, scrap, and downtime. Additional duties may include working on special projects, compiling reports and data tracking, and working in various operational areas as needed.
