Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years’ experience assembling or repairing complex machinery to close tolerances
- Experience working with hydraulic equipment; ability to read hydraulic schematics
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Candidates with the following military job codes or similar may have relevant experience for this position: Army MOS: 91A – M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer, Navy NEC: MM – Machinist’s Mate, Air Force AFSC: 2A3X3 – Tactical Aircraft Maintenance, Marine Corps MOS: 2147 – Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Repairer/Technician, Coast Guard Rating: MK – Machinery Technician
Responsibilities
- Assemble mechanical systems according to manufacturing drawings and blueprints
- Use blueprints and drawings to devise the sequence of assembly steps
- Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saber-saws, grinders, and magnetic-held drills
- Install bearings and apply lubricants and grease; assess movement capabilities
- Deburr and blend sharp edges
- Collaborate with Quality Control personnel for testing
- Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
- Other tasks as assigned
