Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years’ experience assembling or repairing complex machinery to close tolerances
  • Experience working with hydraulic equipment; ability to read hydraulic schematics
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Candidates with the following military job codes or similar may have relevant experience for this position: Army MOS: 91A – M1 Abrams Tank System Maintainer, Navy NEC: MM – Machinist’s Mate, Air Force AFSC: 2A3X3 – Tactical Aircraft Maintenance, Marine Corps MOS: 2147 – Light Armored Vehicle (LAV) Repairer/Technician, Coast Guard Rating: MK – Machinery Technician

Responsibilities

  • Assemble mechanical systems according to manufacturing drawings and blueprints
  • Use blueprints and drawings to devise the sequence of assembly steps
  • Safely operate a variety of hand and power tools, including saber-saws, grinders, and magnetic-held drills
  • Install bearings and apply lubricants and grease; assess movement capabilities
  • Deburr and blend sharp edges
  • Collaborate with Quality Control personnel for testing
  • Adhere to all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
  • Other tasks as assigned
