About The Position

The Assembler works collaboratively at Donaldson’s Nicholasville, Kentucky location to assemble Industrial Air Filtration systems in a team-oriented environment. This is an onsite second-shift role, Monday through Thursday from 3 p.m. to 1 a.m. The position includes gathering assembly materials, assembling and testing products, handling and transporting materials, inspecting and documenting quality, and packaging finished products for shipment. The assembler must follow applicable DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures and participate in continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

Ability to handle materials using forklifts, cranes, carts, and similar equipment.
Mechanical aptitude.
Quality-conscious approach to work.
Ability to read blueprints and understand verbal and written instructions.
High school diploma, GED, or prior experience.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future immigration sponsorship.

Responsibilities

Gather relevant blueprints, build sheets, parts, and hardware for assembly.
Use mechanical ability, work instructions, and hand tools to assemble products.
Test equipment when necessary.
Operate overhead cranes and lifting devices.
Handle and transport products and materials.
Perform quality inspections and complete required paperwork.
Package and crate assembled products and load them for shipment.
Comply with DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental policies and procedures.
Participate in DPS continuous improvement and kaizen events.
Complete annual RCRA Hazardous Waste and DOT Hazardous Material Training, if applicable.
