About The Position

Victaulic, a global leader in grooved mechanical pipe joining and flow control solutions founded in 1919, is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Assembler to join their team in Brampton, ON. This role is responsible for assembling, testing, and packaging Victaulic valve assemblies according to customer specifications within a mechanical assembly environment. The position adheres to Lean Manufacturing principles and company safety standards. Victaulic has a rich history, serving various industries and contributing to notable projects worldwide, with over 5,500 employees and a commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in a mechanical assembly environment.
• Knowledge of general assembly and testing processes.
• Ability to read blueprints/drawings and follow engineering instructions.
• Proficiency in using general assembly tools such as impact guns, torque wrenches, etc.
• Experience using measuring equipment, including vernier calipers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Crane training is an asset.
• Assembly experience with pipe fittings is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Select proper components for assembly.
• Assemble components according to customer specifications and engineering instructions.
• Perform testing of assembled valves and maintain accurate records.
• Package assembled valves for shipping.
• Follow standard work practices, method sheets, and instructions.
• Maintain good housekeeping and adhere to Lean Manufacturing processes and FEM requirements.
• Report damages or malfunctions of equipment and tools to the supervisor.
• Use appropriate safety equipment at all times.
• Adhere to company policies and safety rules.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
