Requirements
- High school education or equivalent
- 0-2 years related experience
- Soldering experience preferred
- Ability to handle/use small tools and components (tweezers, pliers, cutters, soldering iron, ovens, crimpers, screwdrivers, wire cutters, wrenches, vises and continuity testers, oscilloscopes and electrical test equipment)
- Working under a microscope
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
- Excellent math skills (algebra)
- Read and understand blueprints
- Ability to learn and perform mechanical, electrical and swage testing
- Must be able to follow specific procedures and detailed instructions completely.
- Ability to lift up 50 lbs.
- Candidates complete a satisfactory background check and pass a drug screen prior to employment.
- Successful applicants must be a "US Person" (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees).
Responsibilities
- Reads worksheets and wiring diagrams, selects components, such as integrated circuits, contacts, wires, and connectors.
- Mold cables assemblies, monitoring temperature, pressure and visual indicators.
- Remove flash from molded cable assemblies using hand tools.
- Uses hand and small power tools to place small components in boards, cables, connectors, etc.
- Inspect parts and performs basic tests.
- May perform other assembly tasks such as potting, encapsulating, sanding, cleaning, epoxy bonding, curing, stamping, etching, and color-coding parts and assemblies.
- May perform work (soldering and general inspection) under microscope.
- Ensures that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing process.
- Records information on production records, logs and other report forms.
- Provides basic training and instruction to lower-level assemblers on day-to-day assignments.
