About The Position

The Assembler is responsible for assembling membrane switches, panels, windows, and other hand-assembled components according to job specifications outlined in the job bag. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and adherence to quality standards to ensure high-quality finished products.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds.
  • Capable of working in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure precision in assembly.
  • Demonstrated initiative and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to use crimpers and other small hand tools required for assembly.
  • Understanding of and ability to exceed customer expectations.
  • Basic reading, math, and computer skills required.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but straightforward written or oral instructions.
  • Ability to solve basic problems involving standard production variables.
  • Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands to handle or feel objects, and reach with hands and arms.
  • Must be able to talk and hear to communicate effectively with team members.
  • Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch.
  • Must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds.
  • Specific vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Reliable transportation and good attendance practices.
  • Attention to detail is a must.

Nice To Haves

  • One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Good judgment of color, design, and print quality.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret job bags to follow assembly specifications.
  • Learn and apply production processes relevant to the department.
  • Follow written procedures and complete daily production records as required.
  • Adhere to and uphold quality control standards throughout the assembly process.
  • Maintain both quality and production efficiency.
  • Inspect, pre-mask, and bundle parts for assembly.
  • Assemble and test membrane switches to ensure functionality.
  • Apply overlays to assembled switches.
