About The Position

Maag Reduction Inc. is seeking an Assembly Technician with a strong work ethic and character to assemble Maag equipment, including Pelletizers, Pulverizers, Water Baths, Air Knives, Water Slides, Pumps, Screen Changers, Conveying Equipment, and Color Mixers. The role emphasizes 100% on-time delivery to meet customer expectations. The company is a global partner for the polymer industry, formed by eight successful companies, offering top-grade equipment for polymer, chemical, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries.

Requirements

Knowledge of measuring with micrometers, feeler gauges, and understanding of tolerances on assembly prints.
General knowledge and understanding of pneumatic circuits, cylinders, valves, regulators, and controls.
Knowledge of threaded and welded pipe, valves, and fittings, and related hardware for installation.
Ability to position parts and subassemblies by lifting, bending, and kneeling multiple times per day, working overhead from a kneeling or laying position.
Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs at times.
Knowledge of forklift operation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Highly organized and efficient in approaching tasks.
Independent self-starter with ability to problem solve and anticipate and avoid issues.

Nice To Haves

Completion of any Mechanics or Millwright courses.
Knowledge and training on overhead crane operation.
Knowledge of engineering practices and/or some engineering background.
Ability to work from engineering drawings.
Understands how to interpret electrical drawings.
Familiar with pneumatics and hydraulics.

Responsibilities

Reads and interprets assembly drawings, blueprints, layout drawings, and electrical prints.
Assembles Maag family of equipment including Pelletizers, Pulverizers, Water Baths, Air Knives, Water Slides, Pumps, Screen Changers, Conveying Equipment, and Color Mixers.
Documents labor hours to work order operations electronically or on written production labor logs.
Completes production and quality forms, and reports any discrepancies with work order material BOMS.
Runs conduit, mounts junction boxes, and pulls wire to various electrical devices and motors.
Terminates wires as required per electrical drawing.
Participates in team continuous improvement projects, tracking required metrics and participation in daily meetings.
Operates and lifts objects with overhead cranes utilizing slings, straps, or other devices.
Considers all interests of quality, accident prevention, occupational safety, and environmental safety in a preventive manner.
Supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material, and environment actively.
Performs tasks requested by management that relate to his position scope or arise from company needs, including overtime and weekends when needed.
