About The Position

Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is hiring an Assembler to produce various types of three-phase transformers in a continuous-flow environment while meeting customer service requirements. The Assembler performs job functions efficiently and to quality standards, follows standard work and visual operating procedures, builds subassemblies for final assembly, and helps other team members as needed to maintain production flow. This first-shift position is based in Waukesha, Wisconsin, pays $24.45 per hour, and has regular hours of 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Overtime may extend those hours and may be mandatory at times.

Requirements

At least 6 months of experience or education in assembly, manufacturing, or the military.
Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now or in the future.
Ability to work overtime when required.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform essential duties involving bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Candidates must be within a 50-mile radius of Waukesha, Wisconsin; active-duty military service member candidates are exempt from this geographic limitation.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret shop specifications, including shop drawings and process sheets, and use measuring equipment.
Follow standard work and visual operating procedures to complete tasks.
Build subassemblies for final assembly according to OPS and quality standards using calibrated tooling.
Work with engineering, quality, and shipping to meet requirements and ensure products are completed and shipped on time.
Conduct ratio testing on units and troubleshoot problems identified during testing.
Move units using overhead cranes and power industrial vehicles.
Perform varied duties and assist other team members as needed to support continuous-flow production.
