About The Position

The Assembler is responsible for electro-mechanical and optical assembly, programming PCBA boards, test and calibration. This role also involves performing rework on assemblies and/or systems in response to failures and nonconformance. This is a temporary 6-month contract position with the potential to convert to full-time, and it requires working on-site in Brisbane, CA.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • At least 1-3 years of hands-on experience in production assembly or related experience
  • Manual dexterity
  • Basic soldering skills
  • Aptitude for electro-mechanical components
  • Basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division (metric/standard conversions)
  • Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Highly motivated with commitment to production timelines
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to sit, talk, and/or hear, use hands to handle and manipulate small objects
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds unassisted

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree preferred
  • Hands-on experience with optics/lasers in the medical device industry is a strong plus

Responsibilities

  • Performs electro-mechanical, optical assembly, inspection, test and packing of medical device using GMP
  • Performs routine department support and documentation functions
  • Accurately fills out required production records
  • Measures, counts and weighs material
  • Complies with all company safety policies, procedures
  • Complies with all related departmental and standard operating procedures
  • Report any problems or concerns to manufacturing supervisor, manager or responsible Engineer
  • Communicate ideas for process improvement
  • Ability to complete task within specified timeline
  • Analyze equipment performance and schedule maintenance and calibration as required
  • Utilize online databases to accurately transact material, and review drawings and bills of material
  • Train other manufacturing personnel on operations or functions that you are certified to perform
  • Assist the manufacturing Lead or supervisor with complex or difficult tasks
  • Ability to work with established drawings, procedures and verbal instruction
  • Ability to recognize issues, determine and describe potential solution
  • Other duties as needed or required
