About The Position

Velan is a global leader in the design and manufacture of industrial valves. Founded in Montreal, the company is recognized for the quality of its products, its technical expertise, and its human and collaborative corporate culture. We are currently looking for an Assembler-Tester (evening shift), who will report to the Operations Supervisor and will greatly contribute to the quality of our valves by assembling and testing the actuators.

Requirements

• High school diploma (DES) required
• 5 years of experience as a tester or assembler‑tester
• Experience with various types of actuators
• Comfortable with technical documentation and reports

Nice To Haves

• Vocational diploma (DEP) and/or college diploma (DEC) in manufacturing or mechanics (an asset)
• Certifications in rigging, lifting, electric actuators, CRCA

Responsibilities

• Assemble and test mechanical and electromechanical actuators
• Interpret technical procedures and drawings
• Use testing equipment and measuring instruments
• Document tests and ensure traceability
• Support and guide less experienced colleagues
