About The Position
Milwaukee Electronics is hiring an Assembler/Solderer who takes pride in doing precise, quality work. This is a first shift position, Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM–3:00 PM, with no weekends. The role involves building small electronic PCB assemblies and subassemblies from the ground up, including soldering through-hole, surface-mount, and fine-pitch components by hand, depaneling finished boards, and inspecting work against IPC Class 2 standards. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Experience in electronics manufacturing or high-tech assembly
- Demonstrated IPC Class 2 soldering capability (hands-on assessment required)
- Experience with depaneling operations
- Ability to read assembly drawings, blueprints, and written work instructions
- Strong attention to detail and a quality-first mindset
- Clear, professional communication
- Basic math skills and ability to read simple quality metrics
- English proficiency (reading, writing, and comprehension of work instructions and safety procedures)
- Close and color vision required
- Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual granted asylum/refugee status in the U.S.) or otherwise satisfy ITAR compliance requirements.
- Must present acceptable proof of identity and current authorization to work in the U.S. upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Hand-soldering small-board assemblies to IPC Class 2 workmanship standards
- Stuffing, prepping, and mechanically assembling parts and subassemblies
- Depaneling boards accurately and safely
- Inspecting finished assemblies to confirm they meet quality and customer specs
- Identifying and escalating defects or process concerns promptly
- Maintaining accurate production counts, inspection records, and deviation logs
- Participating in Continuous Improvement and Lean activities
- Keeping workspace clean, organized, and 6S-compliant
