About The Position

As a CPI Assembler/Packer, you will perform final inspection of product prior to shipment to customer. May perform additional packaging tasks including but not limited to: generating and placing labels on packages, operating small production equipment, component installation and fitting assembly units. The Assembler/Packer II can rotate throughout the different functional stations of the assembly processes from TeraFrame to Mixed Model line to Cabling Section to Accessories, etc. Responsible for meeting safety, quality and productivity expectations.

Requirements

  • High school, GED, or equivalent education required.
  • Minimum of 3 years working in a Manufacturing/Industrial or related environment.
  • Ability to read and understand blueprints and engineering specifications to properly select parts.
  • Capable of using measuring devices to perform product inspection.
  • Available and willing to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wider variety of repetitive assembly of the company’s products into complete packages and/or sub-assemblies per engineering drawings and customer specifications.
  • Perform final inspection of product prior to shipment to customer.
  • Generate and place labels on packages.
  • Operate small production equipment.
  • Component installation and fitting assembly units.
  • Rotate throughout the different functional stations of the assembly processes from TeraFrame to Mixed Model line to Cabling Section to Accessories, etc.
  • Meet safety, quality and productivity expectations.
  • Select, inspect, assemble and/or package product for final shipment to customer.
  • Apply labels and palletize per specifications.
  • Inspect and maintain workplace for compliance with safety requirements.
  • Correct any safety issue prior to performing operations.
  • Requisition packaging material from warehouse, when necessary.
  • Inspect material for shipping damage and/or supplier defects.
  • Inspect product per finished goods inspection procedure.
  • Inform Team Leader of any component that needs to be reworked or scrapped.
  • Certify that each product has completed Quality Assurance processes via Quality stamp.
  • Work from blueprints, engineering specifications and production schedules.
  • Continuously maintain a clean work area.
  • Dispose of trash and production scrap.
  • Assist in cleaning common areas.
  • Perform other related duties, as assigned by management.
