Assembler/Packer - Ladders
About The Position
Performs repetitive assembly of products, parts, or materials using hand tools, small powered tools, fixtures, adhesives, and fasteners, following specific standards and working safely and efficiently to meet production standards and schedules. The role is responsible for meeting safety, quality, and productivity expectations and preparing products for shipping. Under direct supervision, operates equipment and performs assigned production tasks according to production schedules or Team Leader direction. The Assembler/Packer reports safety issues to the Team Leader before performing operations and reports quality or mechanical problems to the Team Leader or Quality Assurance Inspector. The Team Leader and/or Assembler/Packer II makes minor repairs and equipment adjustments as needed. The role certifies completion of Quality Assurance processes with a Quality Stamp.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 1 year of experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, or related environment.
- Ability to use measuring devices as required for product inspection.
- Availability and willingness to work extended hours and/or weekends as production demand dictates.
- Frequent standing, walking, carrying, stooping, and crouching.
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Responsibilities
- Assemble products, parts, or materials using hand tools, small powered tools, fixtures, adhesives, and fasteners.
- Operate equipment and perform production tasks as assigned under direct supervision.
- Meet safety, quality, and productivity expectations and follow production standards and schedules.
- Prepare products for shipping.
- Notify the Team Leader of safety issues that need correction before operations are performed.
- Notify the Team Leader or Quality Assurance Inspector of quality or mechanical problems.
- Certify that each product has completed Quality Assurance processes using a Quality Stamp.
- Work from production schedules and/or as directed by the Team Leader.
