About The Position

The Assembler-Mounting assembles vehicle accessories and other manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, work instructions, samples, or verbal direction. The role works at a bench or on the shop floor, sets up daily work based on production schedules and priorities, and completes builds in a timely manner. It may also support other assembly departments through work at different stations and cross-training.

The position includes gathering inventory parts; testing custom motion devices; packaging and labeling finished products; completing paperwork; and using quality assurance tools to meet product standards. The assembler is expected to maintain a clean work area, participate in facility maintenance, follow safety and ESD standards, take part in training and continuous improvement activities, and support the company’s vision, mission, strategy, and values. The position reports to the Supervisor of the Assembly department.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification is a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and experience using basic hand tools.
• Ability to understand written and verbal instructions in English.
• Ability to work in a team environment and communicate effectively.
• Ability to read and interpret work instructions and engineering drawings.
• Ability to perform basic mathematical computations and use computer applications.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to tolerate long periods of standing.
• Ability to perform activities that include bending, stretching, and climbing.
• Ability to regularly lift and move up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Close vision, color vision, depth perception, and ability to focus.
• General knowledge of workplace safety and ESD controls is a plus.
• General knowledge of Quality Management Systems such as ISO 9001.

Responsibilities

• Read work orders and follow drawings, work instructions, sample assemblies, or verbal orders to assemble products.
• Assemble manufactured products according to blueprints, work orders, verbal instructions, or work instructions.
• Complete assembly builds in a timely manner according to the production schedule.
• Assemble vehicle accessories at a bench or on the shop floor.
• Collect parts from inventory as needed.
• Receive verbal instructions about order priorities.
• Set up daily work according to the production schedule or verbal instructions.
• Use hand tools and assembly equipment to complete work.
• Work at different stations and cross-train to support other assembly departments as required.
• Group and package finished products with packing lists for processing by shipping.
• Package parts together according to the production schedule or verbal instructions.
• Operate packaging equipment.
• Label finished products and complete paperwork.
• Maintain a clean work area and participate in facility maintenance.
• Follow company safety and ESD protection standards.
• Perform testing on a variety of custom motion devices.
• Participate in product assembly training, team activities, and the continuous improvement process.
• Use quality assurance tools, including fixtures, scales, Inspection Tracker, and Quality Tracker, to ensure product standards are met and maintained.
