About The Position

Responsible for assembling various documents and/or customer provided materials into completed kits. This role involves performing pre-assembly duties, following detailed procedures for packing and collating materials, and picking and packaging a variety of printed materials or related items. The assembler will also assemble finished products into boxes or containers for shipping according to customer specifications, count and sort inventory, and may prepare shipments of customer samples. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED preferred.
Prior warehouse or kitting experience preferred.
Must have the ability to read and interpret job specifications and identifying the correct parts for fulfilling customer orders.
Basic communication skills (written and/or verbal).
Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment and general warehouse procedures.
Able to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee.
Able to complete appropriate forms relating to stock description, quantity, unit of issue, and the labeling requirements for incoming and outgoing materials.
Skill in assembling standard shipping boxes and packing contents securely.
Basic arithmetic to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
Must be willing to flex schedule to meet the needs of production, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed.
Must be able to use a ladder to pick items or to retrieve boxes or materials.
Must be able to stand and move about the facility for long period of time.
Must be able to lift, pull and push up to 60 lbs frequently.
