Field Fastener has immediate openings in its Assembly & Kitting area in the Warehouse located in Columbus, OH. The company is seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and committed individuals. The ideal candidates will have experience performing light industrial tasks that include assembly and kitting. Attention to detail, basic mechanical aptitude, and the ability to use tools and equipment needed to create assemblies are preferred skills.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Polite and professional manner.
  • A minimum of 2 years in a warehouse or manufacturing operation.
  • Commitment to fulfilling all work expectations and requirements.
  • Proven track record of results.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, team-based environment.
  • Ability to work with others in a manner that promotes teamwork and a positive work environment.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external customers.
  • Time management skills, delegation skills, and attention to detail.
  • Highly motivated, well organized.
  • Ability to drive results with or without a great deal of direct supervision.
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Perform general duties involving physical handling of product, materials, and supplies.

  • Operate and maintain warehouse equipment.
  • Create kits to meet customer requirements.
  • Use a variety of hand tools to create assemblies to meet customer requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records.
  • Assist in other areas of the warehouse as needed.
  • Meet daily receiving, production, and shipment requirements.
  • Take an active role in supporting and maintaining safety programs.
  • Actively embrace and promote a positive work culture.
  • Perform periodic bending, kneeling, twisting, lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • All other duties as assigned.
