About The Position

Roeslein Modular Fabrication (RMF) is a key manufacturing facility of Roeslein & Associates, specializing in the fabrication and integration of turnkey modular systems for industries including beverage can manufacturing, renewable energy, oil and gas, and industrial processing. Located in Red Bud, Illinois, RMF provides a full range of in-house capabilities including structural and pipe fabrication, electrical assembly, panel building, and complete modular unit assembly. Requirements

  • At least two (2) years of manufacturing and/or industrial construction experience is required.
  • High level of mechanical aptitude is required. Experience with hand tools, assembling parts and technical knowledge is required.
  • Must be able to read a tape measure and identify X and Y coordinates.
  • Ability to read blue prints, ISO’s and other technical documents is required.
  • Ability to read and understand schedules and basic business acumen is required.
  • Supplying personal tool requirements per department list is required.
  • Strong math and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Must be able to perform job responsibilities at heights.
  • Computer skills and a basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows-based programs are required. Must be able to learn additional software: Viewpoint, SharePoint, Navisworks, RoesTrac, etc.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including but not limited to frequent and mandatory overtime, and weekends required.
  • Must possess the ability to interact effectively with all levels of personnel, both hourly and management, in a team environment.
  • Must comply with Roeslein’s core values for the safe and efficient operation of the business and maintain sound relationships among and with employees.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to operate a forklift and crane is strongly preferred; previous experience is a plus.
  • Ability to learn, calculate, and safely perform rigging of various components.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble modular structures and/or conveyance using various tools and equipment according to job specifications.
  • Assembles and installs a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes, and fittings, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and plastic. Secures pipes to structures with brackets, clamps, and hangers using hand and power tools.
  • Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, diagrams, engineered drawings (ISO’s), 3-D models, specifications, bills of materials, and other written instructions and/or procedures to accurately assemble equipment and products.
  • Install piping insulation per project specifications.
  • Layout assembly components using drawing coordinates.
  • Operate mobile equipment including: scissor lift, mobile deck crane, overhead cranes, and forklift within the safety procedures and policies prescribed.
  • Lead a team of 1-3 team members on a project.
  • Regular attendance in accordance with the attendance policy.
  • Conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established safety and company requirements.
  • Breakdown pre-assembled units and modular structures per shipping schedule and instructions.
  • Pack disassembled components for shipment per instructions.
  • Stage packed components for shipment.
  • Provide personal tools according to the department tool list.
  • Perform set-up, material handling duties, and minor general maintenance.
  • Responsible for area housekeeping.
  • Participate in the processes of continuous improvement including efforts to meet company smart goals.
  • Promote a positive working environment in order to achieve the organization’s goals.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
