About The Position

The Assembler II performs routine electro-mechanical assembly operations, troubleshooting, repair, testing, and calibration of equipment and subassemblies. The role uses work orders, schematics, wiring diagrams, sketches, production sheets, parts and wire lists, and written or verbal instructions to build electro-mechanical, vacuum, and/or pneumatic assemblies, subassemblies, and components. The assembler sets up, aligns, and adjusts equipment to specified tolerances; disassembles, modifies, reworks, refurbishes, reassembles, and tests units as required; identifies and corrects errors; and retests completed work. The position involves using standard hand tools and fixtures to locate and position parts precisely, connecting components into housings, panels, or chassis, and installing or adjusting items such as switches, wiring, gears, tubing, motors, and pumps. The assembler records basic data and provides status updates, identifies defective parts, maintains a clean work area, handles tools and stock appropriately, and packages finished work to prevent damage. The role may include final assembly installations at customer sites and other duties or training as assigned by a supervisor. The assembler is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure work environment, attending required safety training, following safety policies and operating instructions, using protective equipment when required, and promptly reporting accidents, injuries, hazards, or emergencies. The position has no supervisory responsibilities and impacts the quality of the employee’s own work. Duties applicable to specific functions are defined and communicated by area supervision.
