Assembler II - Final Assembly

About The Position

The Assembler II in Final Assembly completes refrigeration cases according to quality standards and work order instructions. The work includes partial sub-assemblies such as installing inside backs, ceilings, upper shelves, bottom decks, front panels, and end panels, as well as wiring and installing top lights. The position is in Operations, is hourly and non-exempt, and works the first shift under the Production Supervisor.

Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency with handheld tools and other measuring devices.
Demonstrated proficiency with written and verbal communication and/or instruction.
Ability to read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials.
Ability to read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments.
Team-oriented approach and ability to collaborate with others.
Ability to learn business processes quickly.
A passion for accuracy and a can-do attitude focused on finding solutions.

Responsibilities

Read and comprehend job orders and bills of materials.
Identify parts used on the assigned product line and where they are placed on the product.
Identify and use power and hand tools for the assigned product line.
Perform assembly tasks using hand or power tools.
Identify parts and descriptions using work order information, including bills of materials.
Use information about material gauging and dimensioning.
Read rulers, tape measures, metal squares, and other measuring instruments.
Fasten parts together with bolts, screws, speed clips, rivets, or other fasteners.
Identify maintenance needs for equipment and tooling.
Use electrical testing equipment such as dielectric testers or voltage meters.
Work at different workstations as production needs require.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
Use required safety equipment and apparel for each operation on the product line or work cell.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Collaborate with the team and participate hands-on in problem solving.
