About The Position

The Final Assembler is the last stop in production before a custom utility truck body is shipped to the customer. The role assembles the product’s final materials and performs repetitive operations to assemble products, mechanical seals, and subassemblies. The position is based at Dakota Bodies in Watertown, South Dakota, and works a day shift from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Thursday, with overtime on Fridays. The stated pay is $20.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Excellent time-management skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and delegate them when appropriate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or related software for completing reports and logs.

Responsibilities

• Read prints.
• Identify parts and ship-loose items.
• Wire bodies.
• Install shelves, dividers, and other components.
• Account for all ship-loose items.
• Repair minor dents.
• Load trailers.
• Recognize differences in lighting packages.
• Adjust various types of latches.
• Install windows of various types.
• Install vents and fans.
